Workforce Housing in Southern Nevada: A Springboard to Action
On April 6, 2006, 200 southern Nevadans from a cross section of stakeholders will convene at Green Valley Ranch Casino in the broadest dialogue to date about the shortage of affordable and attainable workforce housing and possible solutions. Participants will include representatives from developers, homebuilders, workforce groups, community and non-profit organizations, federal, state, local elected and appointed officials, urban planners, and members of the business community. Although this conference is by invitation, there are seats available for interested parties from the workforce, policy, and for-profit sectors.
